The strange story of Deeley Montfort Delaroy, told by his war-time comrade and friend, Captain Eric (Tubby) Wilde. Blue boards, black title to spine. Revised and reset editin. Browning to top and tail of spine and along cover edges. Bumping to corners and spine. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. Pictorial wrapper is price-cut with edge-tears and chips and pieces of loss to top and tail of spine and a couple of corners. Grubby marks to rear panel. Orange cloth with black title to spine. 251 pages. Covers are unevenly faded. Corners bumped. Front and rear joints are a little cracked. Some foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. The First in the Steeley Series, a young adventurer of the skies. Two inscriptions in ink to front endpaper. Contained in 2nd impression wrapper (only difference from 1st in on rear panel). Wrapper has 2cm loss to base of spine and 3 to 7mm loss from top of spine, loss has been diguised by photocopy loosely laid underneath. Front flap has had price cut - 2cm diameter hole.
